Right in the heart of Thessaloniki, Zen Garden has managed to create a spot that makes you completely forget you're in the city. Tucked behind an old 1957 house, the owners—who are locals themselves—envisioned a lush, green courtyard that feels like a mini getaway.
Filled with trees, multi-level seating, two separate bars, and atmospheric music, Zen Garden has become one of the coolest all-day spots in town for brunch, cocktails, and great food.
The modern all-day experience
Zen Garden is all about that all-day cocktail & food bar philosophy, adapting perfectly to any time of the day. From your morning coffee and brunch under the natural shade of the trees, to afternoon aperitivo cocktails and dinner at night, this spot offers the ultimate hospitality experience in the eastern part of Thessaloniki.
Special emphasis is placed on the new, updated menu, featuring unique culinary creations and delicious new additions. Highlights include the mini cheese pies with thyme honey, the goat cheese log with jam, cheese balls, and shrimp tempura.
For mains, the salmon fillet, caramelized pork belly, and chicken fillet with crushed baby potatoes steal the show. For the more adventurous foodies, the black pork patty and fillet, as well as the Peking duck, offer an exceptional dining experience.
At the same time, the menu includes a variety of vegan options, like tasty falafel. For our little friends, Zen Garden has created a special kids' menu, catering to all tastes and groups.
The Zen Garden brunch experience
Brunch is definitely one of the main reasons why Zen Garden has become a favorite all-day hangout in Thessaloniki. The menu blends comfort flavors with creative twists, offering options for every mood and time of the day.
Stands-out options include the eggs benedict with salmon or turkey, the traditional "kayanas" (scrambled eggs with tomato & feta), the Zen Breakfast—perfect for sharing among 3 or 4 friends—the "koulourato" made with authentic Thessaloniki bagel, and, of course, the french toast. It's a brunch menu made both for big groups and for anyone looking for a laid-back experience in one of the city's coolest courtyards.

Nature-inspired cocktails
Created by the city's well-known bartender Alexandros Psaras, the cocktail list is inspired by the elements of nature, staying true to the Zen Garden philosophy. It features 6 signature cocktails and 2 mocktails that pair perfectly with the venue's vibe.
The experience comes full circle with weekly themed nights, including sushi nights every Thursday and Friday, aperitivo evenings on Wednesdays, and guest bartending events with top bartenders from all over Greece, who will mix up award-winning creations and unique premium drinks for you.
